Going Home

We got to bring our sweet little baby girl home on Friday July 11th. We were both so nervous about leaving the hospital and being totally on our own. I was leaning more towards wanting to go but Josh was willing to stay as long as they would let us. It was definitely nice having nurses right there to ask questions and check us regularly to make sure everything was ok. We took our time that day and made sure to eat lunch. Josh still had to go to the parking garage to install the car seat before we left so Evelyn and I took a little nap after lunch. We put her in a little yellow onesie that Gabe and Melissa Johnson gave her and she looked so cute. We were nervous about putting her in her car seat because she was so small and technically she wasn't big enough to go in it. When we weighed her last she was down to 4 lbs 13oz and the car seat fits 5lbs -35lbs. She looked so small in her seat. We got all loaded up in the car and made the short trip home. Evelyn slept the whole way of course. When we got home we introduced her to our kitty Annabelle and then gave her a tour of her new room (not that she was too interested). We are so excited to finally have our little girl home with us after waiting for her for so long!
